TERRORISM IN SEATTLE Friday, July 28, 2006 Terrorism by any other name is still terrorism. At 4:03 Pacific time today, Friday, July 28, 2006, a terrorist attack took place in the city of Seattle. A man, who forced his way through security at the headquarters of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, brandished a hand gun, shouted "I am a Muslim, I’m angry at Israel" and began shooting. The terrorist, an American of Pakistani descent who lives in the Tri-Cities area, is in now in custody, but he left a trail of innocent blood in his wake. One person is dead, and five women were wounded, including one who is twenty weeks pregnant. The wounded are currently being treated at Seattle's Harborview Hospital, where three are in critical condition. The community is in shock, as we should all be. We cannot continue to ignore the continual call to jihad from Islamist leaders and hope that they will not be heard here. The silent presence of terrorist sympathizers and jihadists in America is a growing menace that will get progressively more threatening until we can no longer ignore it. But by then it may be too late. For several people in Seattle it is already too late.
